I have loaded my Disney Reward Dollars to a rewards card, but my upcoming trip is all paid. Can I upload the balance to myDisney Experience App to pay for dining and merchandise? Or will I have to produce the reward card to use?

    Hi, Kimberly! Welcome to planDisney!

Your Halloween adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort is almost here! Are you ready for a spook-tacular time? I love seeing the Magic Kingdom Park in all its autumnal glory, and the new Cinderella pumpkin carriages on the lampposts this year are absolutely boo-tiful!

All of those Disney Reward Dollars you've been saving up are about to pay off! Your Rewards Card works much like a Disney Gift Card, so you won't be able to link it to your My Disney Experience account. However, you can link your Disney Visa or other credit card to My Disney Experience to use for payment of things like Mobile Ordering, shopping in select retail stores (currently limited to the Creations Shop at EPCOT and World of Disney at Disney Springs), and when purchasing Disney Genie+ or individual Lightning Lane entrance access in the theme parks. But you'll want to hang on to your Rewards Card when you plan to use that to pay for any dining and merchandise.

To add a credit card to your account, go to your profile and select "Payment Method." You can store up to six credit and/or debit cards to your account at a time.

Kimberly, I hope you have a frightfully fun time at the Walt Disney World Resort. But be careful...a ghost may follow you home!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
