Hey there, hi there, Kaelyn! Welcome to planDisney. We love getting to help Guests get answers to their planning questions.
It's so exciting to see that you will be visiting Disneyland Resort soon! When we do a longer visit to a Disney destination, we too like to collect Disney Gift Cards leading up to our visit. Unfortunately, there is no way to link Disney Gift Cards to your account in the
Disneyland app to avoid having to have them on hand like you can with a credit card. To make mobile ordering in the app easier, I recommend keeping a list of your gift card numbers in a note on your phone so you can easily copy and paste it during check out. That's much easier than manually entering the numbers every time.
Another tip I can recommend is loading each of these cards into your account on the
Disney Gift Card website. This is super helpful in case one of them gets lost. Also, the website allows you to transfer balances from one card to another. I like to merge balances to try to have the least amount of cards possible, so I will choose one and load up to the max of $1,000 and then start on another card. To avoid having to carry a bunch of cards, I actually go onto the
Disney Store website and purchase a digital card for the smallest amount because these cards can be added to your phone's wallet. Then I transfer balances to this card, like I shared. Now you won't need to bring your cards because you can have the card scanned from your phone. You also have them in your Disney Gift Card account for backup, too.
Kaelyn, here's to a magical visit! I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating
Halloween Time and Disneyland's
70th Celebration!
Carrie
