Ahoy, Whitney! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for cruising to us at planDisney with your question. We are fellow guests, passionate about getting your Disney Cruise vacation plans into shipshape!
You will be able to begin the
online check-in process for your cruise 30 days before your embarkation date. As part of this process, you are required to upload a photo of your
citizenship document (your birth certificate in your case if you are not using a passport to travel). This expedites the boarding process on the day of your cruise. If you choose to not upload your citizenship document, you will not be able to complete the check-in process and select a Port Arrival Time. Guests that do not have a Port Arrival Time must arrive after 2:00 p.m. (but before the all-aboard time- please check communications from Disney Cruise Line so you arrive in plenty of time) and can expect a delay in boarding as there will be additional paperwork to sign at the port.
It is very important that you keep your
important citizenship documentation with you in your carry-on luggage when you arrive at the port. All Guests must show their travel documentation at the port before they can be cleared to board the ship, so please keep that information with you at all times. You may also like to do what my family does, and pack your swimsuits in your day bag that you carry onto the ship. You can change into your swimsuit and enjoy the pools onboard before dinner time. Depending on your ship, you'll have a variety of pools, splash areas, or waterslides to enjoy. The Disney Wish even has the
AquaMouse, the first-ever Disney attraction at sea!
Whitney, there will be so many activities and exciting moments waiting for you on your Disney Cruise Ship! I can't wait for you to step on board and experience the
magic for guests of all ages. Have an incredible voyage and please, sail to planDisney any time you have questions for us. We are happy to help.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
