Hey, Howdy, Hey, Emily!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by! I’m so excited to see you have a spring visit coming up. The months of March, April, and May are my favorite time of year to visit. I do think I favor April a little more because it’s my birth month and
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival usually happens then too, which is also my favorite festival. I’m sure your March visit is going to be lovely. Plus, the weather is usually much warmer than the state I travel in from, so a little sunshine goes a long way. TIP: Check the weather as you pack, and leave room for rain gear, just in case.
The magic behind
Lightning Lane and the reservation process is truly unique. I feel like Elsa, guiding you
into the unknown, as I answer your question. As always, I recommend purchasing and scheduling your Lightning Lane reservations as soon as your
booking window opens. That way, you can book your must-dos with a larger availability window. While in the parks and the days leading up to your visit, be sure to check the
mobile app for any updates and changes. Those random day drops your friend mentions could be from other Guests changing their plans. Or a larger availability window opening. It truly is the unknown, and the magic that happens behind what we see is truly a magical mystery.
Since your window is not open yet, I recommend taking the time to create your list of must-dos. That way, when your reservation window opens early next year, you will be ready. Set an early alarm and have your preferred device ready to go. Maybe even consider tag-teaming it with someone else in your travel party. That’s what my husband and I do the day our
dining reservations open up. He searches for half of our wants, and I search for the others. Together, we help secure our ideal itinerary.
Emily, I hope this helps answer your question. Sending you pixie-dusted good luck wishes, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please be sure to let us know.
The magic awaits,
Shantel
