Hi there, Danielle!
I'm so excited to welcome you back to planDisney to discuss your adults-only visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! My husband and I just enjoyed a long weekend filled with all of our magical must-dos, so it's the perfect time to help a fellow mature Mouseketeer plan an upcoming vacation. Let's get to it!
Although I previously admitted that I am partial to celebrating the season at Disney Jollywood Nights, I can also confidently share that I have never turned down the opportunity to enjoy the magical 'snow' on Main Street, U.S.A. during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. In fact, I'll be attending with some planDisney pals in just a few weeks, and the group chat has been filled with plans that I'm happy to suggest for you as well!
- Don't miss the chance to capture some group memories in front of the photo spots spread throughout Magic Kingdom Park. They're the perfect place to show off your festive attire!
- Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade is a must-see! No matter your age, it's not a Christmas party without a Santa Claus sighting, and since we adults have the luxury of setting our own bedtimes, we can catch the less-crowded 11:30 parade!
- My fellow panelists and I were huge fans of the silent disco on our most recent sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line, so I'm sure we will spend some time at Club Tinsel at the Rockettower Plaza Stage!
- Since you're an Annual Passholder, I don't suggest using too much of your party enjoying attractions. Still, you might consider joining the queue of attractions that typically have higher wait times such as TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. If you're a fan of holiday tunes, you'll definitely want to make time for Space Mountain and Mad Tea Party's party-exclusive holiday overlays. I also never pass up the chance to enjoy Big Thunder Mountain after dark, and with the recent announcement of its upcoming refurbishment, you'll want to enjoy 'the wildest ride in the wilderness' while you can.
- Minnie's Wonderful Christmas Fireworks Show is a highlight of the evening for many Guests. You definitely won't want to skip the display, but personally, I prefer to avoid the crowds by catching the show from Fantasyland or Frontierland.
- Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't encourage you to take advantage of the seasonal snacks included in the price of your ticket! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for an upcoming Foodie Guide highlighting the event.
I ho-ho-hope these suggestions are helpful, Danielle! As an Annual Passholder, I also encourage you to enjoy the other
holiday offerings found throughout Walt Disney World Resort. If you're in need of more specific suggestions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
