Hi Laura,
Welcome to Florida! One of the great benefits of living in the Sunshine State is the opportunity to become a
Florida Resident Passholder and visit Walt Disney World frequently. To qualify for one of the Florida resident passes, you will simply need to show your Florida drivers license, state ID or Florida military ID. You can input any of those official documents when buying online. If, for some reason, you don't yet have one of those official forms of identification, you can provide
alternate proofs of residency, such as certain bills, mail or auto registration, along with a photo ID or passport. Those forms of proof must be presented in person at a Guest Relations location.
As a Florida resident, you also qualify to spread the cost of your annual pass over 12 months, interest-free. You simply sign up and make a small deposit when you buy the pass. My husband and I have taken advantage of that benefit for many years. It's an easy way to budget one of our favorite activities.
I also recommend adding the
Disney PhotoPass Download option to your annual pass, especially as someone new to the passholder family. It's a relatively small fee (equal to buying a handful of shots individually) that will give you unlimited access to ride and attraction photos, PhotoPass photographers and Walt Disney World photo extras for the whole year. I have been a passholder for almost 30 years and had never added it until this year. Boy, am I glad I did! We've gotten dozens of priceless photos on visits with family and friends, including a family portrait at the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs on Christmas Day. I will never be without it again.
And make sure you take advantage of all the special
passholder discounts and perks throughout the year.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Please let us know if we can help in any other ways throughout your passholder days.
Enjoy!
Wilma
