I live out of the US and would like to plan and reserve for myself not through a travel agent. Is this possible? Are there any restricted countries in specific that are allowed to do reservations only through Disney authorized travel agents and why is it?

Hello there, Marcela! Welcome to my very own corner of planDisney, and thank you so much for sending in your question. It sounds like you’re dreaming up a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I’m delighted to help guide you through the process of making those plans from abroad!

The good news is that you are more than welcome to make your own reservations directly with Disney without going through a travel agent. Since you’re in Mexico, the easiest way to do this is by calling the Walt Disney World Resort directly, where a friendly Cast Member will be able to help you with hotel reservations, tickets, and any vacation package details. This way, you’ll be handling the booking process yourself, but with a Cast Member assisting you over the phone every step of the way.

Now, in some regions around the world, Guests may see local promotions, packages, or special offers advertised only through Disney’s authorized travel partners. In those cases, you would need to go through a certified agent to access that particular deal. However, that doesn’t mean you must book your trip this way. It simply means that the special, region-specific offers are managed differently. If you’d rather stick with Disney directly, you’ll always be able to do so by calling.

Marcela, I hope this helps make things a little clearer for your planning journey! If you’d like tips on how to prepare before making that magical call, I’d be more than happy to help.

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
