I live in the UK and will be visiting Orlando on 27th May. I need to arrange a DAS pass for my 10 year old son. How do I do that?

Hiya Bernard - welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you stopped by with your question for our team of panelists! Our goal is to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort holidays, and I'm happy to answer your question today!

Walt Disney World Resort strives to be a place where all Guests can enjoy the magic, and the Disability Access Service (DAS) is one fantastic tool designed to help Guests who may not be able to utilize standard attraction queues.

Currently, you can register for DAS on-site at a Guest Relations location at a Theme Park once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, or, online pre-registration for DAS is available when a Guest is located in the United States. If you will be in the U.S. before your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you may want to consider completing the online pre-registration process at that time (this link only works properly in the U.S.), otherwise, Guest Relations should be your first stop at the beginning of your visit.

If your registration is complete at least two days before a day you'll visit the parks, the Cast Member will help you make two DAS Advance reservations for attractions or experiences for those future days. Once you're inside one of the magical Theme Parks, you'll be able to use your My Disney Experience Mobile App to make and hold one DAS selection at a time, on top of any DAS Advance reservations that may have been made ahead of time. So, if you are visiting the Theme Parks for five days, and complete your DAS registration on the first day, you would still be eligible to book DAS Advance reservations for the last two days the trip, and will be able to make regular DAS selections throughout your entire trip!

This is a newer system, and as such, these processes may evolve a bit moving forward. For this reason, I also suggest speaking with a Cast Member once you arrive to learn more about any updates and to have any questions you may have about using DAS answered.

I hope this information is helpful - have a wonderful time at the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! Please let me know if we can answer any other questions as you continue planning.
