Howdy Wendy!
Welcome to
planDisney. I’m so happy that you ran by with your question today. One of the coolest things about runDisney is seeing runners from all around the world participate in this fun Disney-themed event. My wife, her bestie, and our daughter all ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon last month. They had the most amazing time dressing up, running, and enjoying all of the neat experiences during race weekend. So let's lace up our running shoes and get to it.
So if we dash over to the
runDisney website, I see that the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend registration for the general public opens on June 2nd, 2026. It looks like what you're seeing as sold out is for the 2026 race. If you hover over the events tab, it currently shows only the 2026 race. I think I can give you a few helpful tips in order to get registered for the race, so here we go.
You can register for runDisney faster than you can run a 5k. Since runDisney is part of The Walt Disney Family of Companies, you can create an account using your My Disney Experience username and password. Once you are on the runDisney website, hover your cursor over the Help & Support tab at the top of the screen and click the Manage Account button. You can now log in, update, and add all necessary information.
Alrighty, now that you are all registered, the next step is signing up for a race. In my experience, registration typically opens at 10:00 am EST on the day of registration. I would monitor the runDisney website for the latest information and ensure you are signed up for email alerts. On the day your race registration opens, be sure to log in early and have all of your race info, such as address, shirt size, race choices, and payment information, ready to go. As soon as registration opens, the screen will refresh to register. Click the race you want, and you will be added to the virtual queue. It’s important that you do not refresh your page during this time, as it will automatically refresh when it is your turn to register.
We’re almost to our finish line, and I wanted to leave you with one last tip. If you haven’t already purchased it, I would recommend getting Memory Maker. Memory Maker lets you get all the amazing
Photo Pass pictures taken during the race, especially with all the characters. There is no better way to capture all of these core memories.
Wendy, I hope you have a magical time becoming a part of the runDisney family and have an amazing finish.
See ya real soon,
Robert
