"Welcome home," Victoria. I'm so glad you've dropped by planDisney with your question.
Victoria, it's been quite a difficult year for many and I'm sorry to hear that your travel plans have been less than ship shape. I'm hopeful that the coming months will bring more Magic and you can enjoy your cruise "on the horizon!"
Now, let's talk about using Disney Vacation Club points for partial payment. First, Victoria, in order to use Vacation Points for any cruise booking,
Disney Cruise Line reservations must be made prior to the last four months of your Use Year for sailings during that
Use Year. So, to your question, your ability to use these points depends on which Use Year the points are from and when they expire. Next, it's important to know that you aren't permitted to split the point "cost" for one individual. For example, if a sailing is 129 points per person, you must book entirely with points for that person or entirely with cash.
Finally, Victoria, as you are already booked for March 2022 it's possible that in order to use your Disney Vacation Club Points you would need to cancel that sailing to rebook with Disney Vacation Club. However, I highly recommend you
call into Member Services to discuss all of the possibilities with a Disney Vacation Club Cast Member who can view your account. Before you call in, take a few moments to
check out the 2022 Points Charts for Disney Cruise Line.
Victoria, I hope this helps as you're weighing your options. I'll be wishing on a star for you that you're able to use those points however works best for you and your family. If you have additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
As my pal Mickey would say, we hope to "see ya real soon!"
