I live in Spring TX and trying to plan a budgeted vacation for fam of 5 w nice accomod and best way to get to there and enjoy - not stress. We are trying to budget due to economy but have a vacaction for older kids and grand daugher -- where I start?

    Howdy Jody!

First of all, thank you so much for your question!  I LOVE helping out fellow Texans!

Second, there are a few questions you need to answer before you move forward with any major purchase (or vacation).

    1.  What is your budget?  What can you afford to spend--TOTAL?
Many times this ONE question will end up answering SO many others for you...

    2.  What time of year do you need to travel?
You don't mention if you'll be traveling with school-aged children or the need to travel around a school schedule--in the end that can make a BIG difference.  Christmas and Spring Break would be more expensive times of year to visit--whereas beginning of November isn't.

    3.  Check out the special offers here

    4.  After you've answered those two questions and checked out the special offers, I'd start pricing out vacation offers at www.disneyworld.com (here's a link to the accommodations page.)  There you'll be able to see the difference between value, moderate, and deluxe resorts, as well as price differences throughout the year.

    Good luck getting started!

    Have a magical vacation!
