Amanda from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I live in Northern California do I qualify for the Disneyland California resident discount and if my friend who is from out of state is with me can I buy her ticket at California resident price or do I need to purchase separately?

    Hiya, Amanda!

Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad that you're hEAR! Thank you for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question our way!

Oh Boy! I see that you'll be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth very soon indeed! Don't forget to check out the Disney Parks Blog where you can find all kinds of tips about what to do, see, and eat during this spooky season of Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort!

I'm so sorry to share, Amanda, that the California Resident theme park admission ticket offer was a limited-time promotion that expired this last week. However, if and when these tickets are offered again in the future, then yes, each Guest will need to show a government-issued photo ID listing an address that falls within the parameters of the California or Southern California Resident Ticket at the time of use. (Typically these offers will list a specific grouping of zip codes each Guest must reside within to determine eligibility.)

I am happy to share that there might be some other places that you could look for offers on Theme Park Admission Tickets, like memberships to which you belong (AAA, Costco), rewards portals through your credit card points, or even discount shopping portals through work benefits or perks. But my favorite place to buy Disneyland tickets is at Target, either online or in-store, as the 5% RedCard savings does apply to these passes!

Bonus Tip: Don't forget to make your Park Pass Reservations! One of the post-pandemic pre-arrival procedures is that each Guest needs to schedule a Park Pass Reservation, which basically tells Mickey and his pals which theme park you and your crew plan on playing in that day. If you've purchased the Park Hopper option, this selection will notate which theme park you'll start your day in; you'll then be able to hop between the two as much as you'd like starting at 1:00 P.M.

I'm so sorry that this wasn't the answer you were sEARching for, Amanda, but I do hope that this helped to clEAR up your question!
