Welcome to planDisney, Isabell! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. It's great to hear that you're planning ahead. Dinner and a show at
Magic Kingdom is a magical combo!
Right now, the nighttime entertainment schedule at Magic Kingdom includes two showings of the brand new
Disney Starlight parade: one at 9:00 PM and another at 11:00 PM, with the always iconic
Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular happening in between at 10:00 PM. It's a beautifully coordinated nighttime lineup that really lets you soak in the magic.
Now, since Disney Starlight is brand new to Magic Kingdom this year, we don't have last year's schedule to use as a guide for October. But as of now, this 9/10/11 PM entertainment pattern seems to be pretty standard. If anything changes, those updates will appear in the
My Disney Experience app, so I recommend checking there closer to your travel dates for the most up-to-date showtimes.
As for making
dining reservations, go for it! Dining times are pretty flexible, and you can change your plans at any time if you want to. I always suggest booking what works best for your group now, and then adjusting as needed once the entertainment schedule is finalized. Keep in mind that hours and show schedules typically get released about a month in advance, so you'll likely start seeing that info pop up sometime in September.
In the meantime, it's totally okay to make your best guess based on the current schedule. If you're hoping to catch one of the parades or fireworks, try to avoid making dining reservations after 8:00 PM to play it safe.
Have a magical day, Isabell!
