What is "D23" and I only live about an hour from Disney and am a resident of Florida...can I still be a Disney Vacation Club member? Are there discounts for residents?

    Hi, Kim!

D23 is The Official Disney Fan Club, offering its Members some truly exclusive perks such as special member events, fantastic publications and special promotional offers. Think of this as the truly ultimate fan club; check it out! :-)

Regarding your Florida resident status, there are surely ways that you can enjoy special benefits, too. Think of it as a way for Mickey and Minnie to invite the neighbors over to stay for awhile...at a discount! Check out this link for Special Benefits for Being a Florida Resident; I'm sure you'll find some discounts that are sure to make you smile!

You'll be happy to know that Florida residents can surely join Disney Vacation Club; in fact, many residents use their Membership to enjoy the resorts, in addition to the parks, simply because they are so lovely (and the DVC perks are so great, too!) Check out Disney Vacation Club's website for more information, or call (800) 500-3990 to speak with a DVC Guide directly.

Send more questions as you think of them, Kim! I'd love to help you find information about joining the DVC family. It's great to walk in through those resort doors and hear "Welcome Home."
