Hi there, Casey, and welcome to planDisney!
How lucky are we to live so close to the Most Magical Place on Earth? I've had my fair share of road-tripping across the Florida-Georgia state line, so it does beg the question if working in Florida is enough to qualify for the special pricing for residents in the Sunshine State.
In order to qualify for Walt Disney World Resort Florida resident tickets, deals, and discounted/resident-only annual passes, you need to meet the following requirements:
-Have a valid ID with a Florida address (like a driver's license or Florida-based military ID)
OR
-Provide proof via a mortgage statement, utility bills, or other residency evidence found on this
Proof of Florida Residency webpage.
So, Casey, if you can prove that you have a Florida residence, then you're good to go! But if your home address on your government-issued ID or other documents indicates "Georgia," you'll miss out on this particular bit of pixie dust.
AN EXTRA GEM: Hakuna Matata! The bright side is that because of your proximity to the Disney Parks, travel costs could be lower and trips could be more frequent. And always keep an eye out for
Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts on the Walt Disney World website. Right now, there's even a deal for
Disney+ subscribers.
Casey, if you have any other questions as you set off for your Disney Parks adventures, please
give us a holler here at planDisney! We are more than happy to help.
Magic always,
LeAndra
