Hey there, hi there, ho there Cynthia!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question! I absolutely love that you and your family will be visiting the parks together, especially during
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Planning a Disney vacation for a bigger group can definitely be a bit confusing, but I am here to help you so that the only thing on your to-do list when you get to the parks is to have the best time with your family. You and me, we're in a club now!
First, let's talk about linking your party together so that you can make more plans with your family. If you are not already part of each other's Family & Friends Lists, you will have to go into your
My Disney Experience account and either click on "My Family & Friends" if you are using the website or on "My Profile" and then "Family & Friends List" if you are on the
mobile app. Then, you should be able to click on "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your list and enter the person's information. Be sure to enter the email that is associated with their My Disney Experience account as they will then receive an invitation to connect with you in their account. You might have to refresh your page or app, but you should then be able to see each other in your Family & Friends Lists. If you already have reservations such as dining plans made, you will be able to associate each family member to the reservation.
Second, the good news is that
you will not need to stop by a Guest Relations window to activate your ticket anymore. When purchasing your Florida resident tickets, you will have the option to fill out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form or the "Customize Your Tickets" step depending on if you are using the website or the mobile app. That way, you will be able to upload your proof of residency online and avoid having to stop by Guest Relations to show it in person! As a reminder, you can use valid Florida state-issued IDs, proof of current mortgage, mail or brills no longer than two months old as proof of residency. Then, if you are using a MagicBand or the
MagicMobile Service on your iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phone, you will be able to enter the parks without a physical copy of the ticket. You can still, however, stop by the Guest Relations desk if you would like a physical copy of your ticket. If you are unsure which method you would like to use to enter the parks, you could even use any of the methods I just mentioned to see which one works best for you!
Once you have purchased your Florida Resident ticket and
linked it to your My Disney Experience account, you will be all set to
make theme park reservations and plan your magical vacation!
I hope this was helpful, Cynthia, and that you are able to get back to planning your magical visit as soon as possible. If you have any other questions come up in the time leading up to your trip, please feel free to reach out. You're as welcome as can be, and we will be honoured to help you!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
