I live in Florida and my son and family are coming to visit. Can I buy and go to Disney by buying resident passes for all and hotel reservations as a resident? They are coming from Oklahoma.

    Hiya Janet!

Thank you for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I love that your family is coming to visit you at the most magical place on Earth - how excited are you? I have the fondest memories from my trips with my family, and I cannot wait for you and your loved ones to make your own as well! I can still see my cousin and me looking over our balcony at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on an early, chilly morning. These memories will truly last a lifetime, and I am honoured to be helping you plan your own magical visit.

Unfortunately, although you are a Florida resident, those tickets cannot be used by non-local guests. Indeed, each ticket would require proof of Florida residency or that you share the same address. When activating your tickets, this proof of residence would either be required upon purchase or upon arrival. Therefore, you can still buy your ticket using the Florida-resident offers, and the rest of your family can purchase regular theme park tickets. To make your magical vacation as convenient as possible, you can verify your proof of residence at checkout when purchasing your tickets! This verification can be done through the "Your Florida Resident Information" step online form or by completing the "Customize your Tickets" step when purchasing tickets on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Then, you and your family will be able to walk right into the parks and will not have to stop by Guest Relations to activate your ticket!

Now, Janet, let's talk about why this year is an especially magical time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! Indeed, with the World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing, there are many fun treats and souvenirs to discover and incredible offerings returning to the resort. Personally, I am so excited for Disney's Festival of Fantasy parade to return to Magic Kingdom Park starting on March 9th, 2022. Also at Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to stop by Cinderella Castle and watch Mickey and his friends in Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire, which returned earlier this month! And did I mention two entirely new fireworks shows: Harmonious and Disney Enchantment? You will not want to miss this magical celebration!

I hope this was helpful, Janet, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney trip! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!

    Have a magical day,
