Hiya Rebecca,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Florida Resident question. As a fellow Florida resident, isn’t it just the best knowing we have the Most Magical Place on Earth right in our backyard? I love being able to plan a quick, whimsical day trip or stretch it into a longer stay when we need a little extra pixie dust. And how special that your daughter and grandchildren are coming to visit. There truly is no sweeter place to make memories together.
If you are referring to purchasing a Florida Resident
ticket, remember that guests ages 18 and older will need to provide
proof of Florida residency at a Florida address. This can be a valid Florida driver’s license, a valid Florida state-issued ID card, or a valid Florida-based military ID.
If additional members of the same household are purchasing tickets, they will need to show proof of the same residential address. Florida residents under 18 do not need to provide proof of residency as long as the adult purchasing the ticket or pass has valid Florida residency documentation.
It is always a good idea to have everything ready before heading to the parks, as Disney reserves the right to request additional proof of residency at any time.
Rebecca, I also recommend taking a quick look at the
Special Offers page on the
Walt Disney World website before their visit. Sometimes there are Florida Resident promotions or other seasonal savings that can add a little extra magic to your planning.
I hope this helps you feel ready and excited for such a special family visit. If any other questions pop up along the way, feel free to visit us.
See ya real soon
Christina
