Hi, Nicole, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love getting the chance to meet a fellow Floridian!
Nicole, it sounds like you have a truly magical Walt Disney World visit planned with your daughter and grandson. It was so special for me to share my favorite place with my son when he was just a little tyke. I know you'll have a wonderful time experiencing it with your family.
Of course, you can buy a
Florida Resident Ticket for yourself, while your grandson can enter the Theme Parks for free since he's under the age of three. However, all adults who plan to use a Florida Resident Ticket will need to show
proof of Florida residency at the ticket window or Guest Relations before the ticket can be activated and used. Unfortunately, that means your Florida resident status can't transfer to your daughter.
There may be other discounts you can take advantage of, though, Nicole. If you're thinking about a
stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you may be able to get a Florida resident rate. I don't see any listed yet for the fall, but keep an eye on the
Special Offers page, since they frequently add new offers. Also,
if you're a AAA member, be sure to check with your local office to see if you can purchase discounted tickets there.
Nicole, while you're making your plans, take a look at Disney's helpful guide to
planning a Walt Disney World vacation with preschoolers and little ones. It's got tons of ideas to help you create some amazing memories with your grandson.
I hope this helps you plan your family vacation, Nicole. I'm sorry I didn't have better news, but hopefully I was able to give you some alternate ideas. Please do come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
