We live close to Disney World and if we want to visit friends for the day that have a campsite at Fort Wilderness can we bring our dogs with us to visit also?

    Hiya, Daniel!

Welcome back to planDisney! Living close to The Most Magical Place on Earth sounds like a dream come true. I am so excited to hear that you will be able to spend some time with friends during their upcoming adventure at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Whether they are calling cabins or campsites their home away from home during their magical stay, there will be so much for your and your crew to enjoy together. This resort offers everything from fishing to horseback riding, and you can make a full day or two out of all that is to do.

I had the opportunity to chat with a friendly Cast Member about Guests of the Pluto variety, and he confirmed that your pups would need to be registered Guests of the resort to be at Fort Wilderness. Sadly, dogs and other animals cannot visit for the day.

If you are looking for a great alternative for your furry friends while you spend some time with your pals, I recommend checking out Best Friends Pet Hotel, located at Walt Disney World Resort. Your dogs can enjoy a full day of play and cuddles while you visit the resort.

Before signing off I want to add a quick reminder that your friends will need to add you as a day Guest at Disney's Fort Wilderness. You will also need to show a photo ID when you arrive at the main gate.

I hope your upcoming visit is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
