Bonjour Rachel,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Quebecker!
I find
Disney Gift Cards to be a great way to plan for my family’s Disney Parks vacations. Let’s face it: the exchange rate can fluctuate pretty dramatically sometimes, so it’s nice to have some cost certainty when it comes to our expenses.
While shipping policies can vary from retailer to retailer, I don’t believe any of the ones you’ve mentioned in your question will ship gift cards (from any company) internationally. You may be able to purchase some of them at a discount when you visit one of their physical stores in the United States but, again, you’ll need to check with the retailers themselves – Disney doesn’t set those purchasing rules.
I’ve sometimes seen our local Canadian retailers offer extra loyalty points or other incentives with the purchase of gift cards, including Disney ones. Keep your eyes open for some of those promotions. While those cards will be issued in Canadian dollars, the moment you use them for the first time in the United States, the day’s prevailing exchange rate will be applied to those funds and then they’ll be converted and available to use in U.S. Dollars.
Finally, don’t forget that, while you can’t ship physical gift cards internationally, you can purchase a
Disney Gift Card eGifts by email, and they can be sent internationally. Even though there is no discount applied to those cards, they can be a great way to save for your family’s upcoming vacation!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. Et n’oubliez pas que
vous pouvez également nous poser des questions en français!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
