I live in California but my parents live in Florida. Would they be able to buy me and husband tickets with their Florida discount?

    Hi Caroline,

Welcome to planDisney! How great that you can combine a visit with your parents with a Walt Disney World vacation.

As a long-time Florida resident, I love taking advantage of the many special offers and discounts available to those of us who live in the Sunshine State. Your parents certainly can use the ticket discounts for themselves. However, each adult must have proof of Florida residency to activate the discount tickets.

Your parents also could book accommodations for the whole family with any Florida resident resort discounts as long as they are part of the party and responsible for the reservations. I especially love the spacious accommodations at the Old Key West resort for family gatherings. And you can book a resort with confidence because Walt Disney World is allowing extra flexibility in modifying or canceling resort reservations through the end of 2020.

I hope that helps, Caroline. Please let us know if you have other questions about a fall visit to Walt Disney World with your Florida family. We're always here to offer our best tips and suggestions. Enjoy!
