We live in Arizona and would like to visit WDW. We have an adult daughter hat has a Service dog, yes a real one. I am retired and would like to know the least expensive way to visit the park and where to stay.

Hi Dennis! Service animals are such an important part of families. The Walt Disney World Resort welcomes service animals at resort hotels and all four of the Disney Parks! I clarified with two Cast Members that service dogs are welcome at Disney Resort Hotels. The Cast Members clarified that you should travel with papers to ensure that your dog is a certified service dog. A service dog is documented and trained to perform a specific task for an individual with a disability. There are no “pet service” fees associated with service dogs as they are trained to perform a task. Also, service dogs can travel with their owner on all forms of Disney Transportation.

Other dogs, such as pets and emotional support dogs, are welcome at pet-friendly hotels including Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. There is a pet “service fee” for booking a reservation with a pet at one of these resorts.

Walt Disney World Resort has three categories of hotels for Guests to enjoy – value, moderate, and deluxe. The least expensive are the value resorts. This includes – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.

If you enjoy camping, then staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will be the least expensive reservation to make. I stayed at the campgrounds when I was in my 20’s. We had a great time and saved a lot of money! If you stay at the campground, I recommend renting a golf cart. It makes it easy to get around the campground.

Dennis, some great deals are currently available for hotels and visiting the parks! Check out the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World Resort website. Hopefully, you can find an offer that will line up with your preferred dates to visit!

    Dreams do come true!
