Hi Bridget! I understand your concern about adding the water park option to your tickets. Like you said, you can always go back to your resort pool to cool off. But there are TONS of fun things your little one can do at the water parks.
My son is 2 (37”) and he spent most of our day at Typhoon Lagoon last week going down the slides! I’m not talking about the little toddler slides. Ketchakiddee Creek is designed for kids 48” and under. There are fun fountains, toddler slides and even a mini rapids ride just for the kids! Outside of the kids area is the family raft ride, Gang Plank Falls, which all the members of your family can ride down together. Grab a tube and float down Castaway Creek (the lazy river).
