For successful stargazing while at sea, I have a few suggestions for areas on the ship where you can best see the stars. If you have a stateroom with a verandah, I would start there. You can turn off the lights in your stateroom and step out onto the verandah to stargaze. Another option would be Deck 4, along the side of the outside deck more toward the bow or stern. Lastly, you could try the uppermost deck, toward the bow of the ship. I don't believe that the exterior lights are ever turned off due to guest safety reasons, but you'll want to avoid the bright lights of the Funnel Vision in the midship area.
