Hi there, Sabrina!
Hooray for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It is going to be so incredible to start next year creating memories at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I am so happy for you!
As you know, Guests under the age of 3 years old do not need theme park admission, so your little one won't need to tap a MagicBand or a theme park admission card in order to access the park. I can fully relate on just how magical it is to hear that happy chime and watch the Mickey-head light up, so I understand your desire to have your 2 year old take part in it as well. Perhaps you can allow them to tap yours on the way in so they feel included in the experience.
As far as when you're in the park, you can still purchase a
MagicBand+ for your toddler without the need to link it to the
My Disney Experience mobile app. As long as it's charged, even without being paired to the app, it will still light-up and interact with nearby objects and shows. My family loves to seek out as many of the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection as we can on each trip. As an added tip, I like to pack a small roll of clear tape, or a small Velcro strap, to secure the band, just to make sure we don't lose it!
MagicBands are not included with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, however, you will have the opportunity to purchase new bands at a discounted rate, with your reservation, before your arrival.
Happy planning, Sabrina! If there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
