My 3 little girls are wanting to meet quite a few characters at Hollywood Studios (I have never been there before). Is there a way to see current wait times to meet the characters like at Magic Kingdom? Thanks!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Anne!

Your girls will be thrilled that they can meet many of their favorite Walt Disney World characters throughout the parks; Disney's Hollywood Studios is no exception.

First, download the fantastic--and free--My Disney Experience mobile app. From there, you can access lots of WDW information, including current wait times for attractions and character experiences. Once in the app, touch the three-lined icon on the top left, which takes you to a list of options. Then, select "Wait Times" from that list on the left of your screen. Next, touch the filter icon on the bottom right of your screen allowing you to filter by park. At the moment, I can see that fans of both Kylo Ren and Chewbacca will be thrilled to find their favorite Star Wars characters can be seen after a 10-minute wait.

Should you wish to search for characters by name, rather than by park, go to the home page in the app, and select "Characters". Next, you'll see a map of WDW, including the number of character greetings at each park. Once again touch the filter icon on the bottom right, and you'll see an alphabetical listing of characters available in the parks that day.

Don't forget that a convenient--and delicious--way to meet many favorite Disney characters is by booking an advanced dining reservation at one of the many Character Dining locations throughout the parks and resorts. If character meetings are on our agenda, we'll schedule a character meal or two, then focus our efforts on meeting other characters while touring the parks. It's a great strategy that keeps everyone well fed, relaxed for an hour, and enables us to meet more Disney friends.

Happy planning, Anne; be sure to send more questions as you think of them!
