My little girl and I will be at WDW during christmas/new years and I'm afraid we will not get into many character dinings due to them already being booked. Are there enough chances to see characters around the park to still make it special for her?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Kierstin ~

You are going to love seeing the parks during the holidays! The decorations are gorgeous and there is always a little extra excitement in the air.

Character dining typically books up quickly especially that time of the year. Fear not! There are tons of places around all of the parks to meet characters. Your daughter can pose for pictures with them and many of them sign autographs.

There are also some unique character interaction experiences like Enchanted Tales with Belle and meeting Merida in Fairytale Garden. The Magic Kingdom often features character dance parties in Tomorrowland in the evening (check the Times Guide when you enter the park). You can also attend Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Fort Wilderness (go early to see Chip & Dale - they don't stay during the movie).

Some of the character meet and greet locations also offer Disney FastPass+ service (FP+) which will save you lots of time waiting in line. If you are staying on property, you can make your FP+ selections 60 days in advance. Guests staying off property can make FP+ selections 30 days in advance.

There are also many live shows and performances that include characters. If your daughter has any favorites, we are happy to help you locate them.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR to help you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
