Hi there, Windi! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question today. The way we visit the Walt Disney World Resort is a bit different these days, so I'm happy to help you navigate the changes and plan a magical vacation.
When Walt Disney World reopened in the summer of 2020,
Disney implemented several health and safety procedures to protect Guests and Cast Members. One of those procedures was the
Disney Park Pass reservations system, which helps to manage crowd levels in the parks. At this time, Disney Park Pass reservations are still required along with your tickets to enter the theme parks. If there are reservations available, you can still walk up and buy a ticket, and then make your reservation before you enter that park. However, if there are no reservations available in the parks on a given day, Disney won't sell tickets for that day, either online or in person at the ticket windows.
Looking at the
Availability Calendar just now, I see that both days this weekend are shaded in gray, meaning that as of now, no reservations are open at any theme parks for those days. You can certainly keep an eye on the calendar, since other Guests may have a change of plans that could open up some extra spots for you. Otherwise, my best advice is to look ahead to next month when there is currently a lot of availability. If you can be flexible with the dates of your visit, I suggest hopping online and
buying your tickets now, and then making your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you can. That way, you'll have the whole World to explore!
I know this is probably disappointing news, Windi. But I also know that with a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, you'll find a practically perfect time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! I hope you found this helpful, and that you'll come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
