I am a little confused about Disney dining as I have never done it before. Is it a certain number of points everyday? Under the regular dining package could I do lunch at Be Our Guest for 1 credit and then Royal Table for dinner for 2 credits?

    Hi Derek!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Thank you for sending in this question.  I am very happy to explain exactly how the dining plans work.  If you have the Disney Dining Plan, you will receive per night of stay: 1 Table-Service credit; 1 Quick-Service credit; 2 Snacks and a refillable resort mug which can be used for unlimited refills of select fountain drinks and hot drinks such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate.  You can make these refills at the beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel. You will be allocated your total amount of credits at check-in (if you use online check-in, this will be from 7.00am on your arrival day) and you may use your credits in any way you choose, maybe using more on one day and less on another.  This means that if you want to dine at a restaurant that require 2 Table-Service credits you will have enough in your total package, but will have one less Table-Service credit on another day.  When I do this, I choose to dine at a less expensive restaurant on that day, and pay cash for that meal.  You will absolutely be able to dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant, using 1 Quick-Service credit for lunch, and Cinderella's Royal Table using 2 Table-Service credits for dinner.

You can keep a check on your dining plan credit balance on your My Disney Experience app, or by asking your server at any restaurant, and you can continue using your dining plan until midnight on your day of departure.  If you find you still have some Quick-Service entitlements left at the end of your stay, I would suggest visiting your Quick-Service location, or retail location within your Disney Resort hotel and ask if they will convert each Quick-Service credit to 3 Snack credits.  You could pick up a few items for your journey home, or to take home as gifts! Unfortunately, there is currently not a precise list of locations where you can convert dining credits to snacks, but it's always worth asking as it is down to the discretion of each individual facility.

Cinderella's Royal Table is one of the most sought-after dining reservations, so please be ready to make your booking at exactly 180 days in advance, online or by using your My Disney Experience account.  This is one of a few restaurants that requires payment in advance.  If you wish to use your dining plan to pay for this meal, just advise your server and they will arrange for your pre-payment to be credited back to your card.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
