Welcome to planDisney, Matthew! I'm so glad to be able to answer a question for a fellow Texan today. I also often travel with someone who uses
Disability Access Service (DAS) at Walt Disney World Resort and having that accommodation in place makes it so that everyone in our family can enjoy The Most Magical Place On Earth equally.
Matthew, I think you might be looking at the
attractions that are bookable with DAS when you
register in advance and can pre-select two attractions for each day of your trip. In practice, any attraction with a
Lightning Lane entrance has DAS access, and once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort you will be able to book a return time for them using your
My Disney Experience app. This includes
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at
EPCOT or
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at
Magic Kingdom Park, which are not on the list of attractions that can be pre-selected in advance of your trip. You'll find them listed when you tap on the DAS tile in the main menu of My Disney Experience.
For attractions with a
Virtual Queue, like
TRON Lightcycle / Run or
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the process is a little bit different. To use DAS for either of these attractions, you need to first have a spot in the Virtual Queue. You can join at 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. using the My Disney Experience app! Once your boarding group has been called, you can let a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction know that you would like to use DAS, and they will convert your Virtual Queue to a Lightning Lane so you can enter with a shorter wait time. If you're unable to get a spot in the Virtual Queue or you want to choose the time that you want to ride, you can purchase an Individual Lightning Lane! The outcome is the same though, as both methods will have you enter through the Lightning Lane.
If you have any more questions about how to use DAS on your upcoming trip, please feel free to
send them to me and I'll be happy to answer them.
Have a magical day, Matthew!
