I have a little boy,age 8, and we want to plan the best trip possible, for a weekend in Sept. I need as much help as possible planning this for him. Dinning plans, rooms, ect. and on a budget. Can you point me in the right direction? Family of 3 for 3-4day

    Hi Chasity,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We definitely have to help you plan the most wondrous trip possible for your 8-year old son. So much to plan, so little time!

Of course, your first priority is the resort hotel. The most affordable resorts on property tend to be the value resort hotels. Disney's Art of Animation resort has standard rooms themed after The Little Mermaid and suites themed after the movies Cars, Finding Nemo and The Lion King.

Check the special offers to see if there is a discount that would work for your family. I suggest that you book a vacation package with room, theme park tickets and a dining plan. Go ahead and book your package so that you can make dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections. Be sure to make reservations for character meals as soon as possible because restaurants get full quickly. If staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you can book your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance.

Chasity, I also stress to you that the peace of the galaxy is in danger. If your son is willing to join the Jedi forces, you must take him to sign-up for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. Recruits must arrive to Disney's Hollywood Studios early. Arrive before the park opens to be in the recruit line, with your son, at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost.

May the Force be with you!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
