My little boy will be turning 6 on his birthday at Disney World. He is a huge fan of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Is there anyway he can meet the characters? What else can he do with them? Are there any character dinners with them?

    Hi Shawna!

Wow!  A birthday celebration at Disney World - does it get any better than this?   I'm sure that you have been bombarded by all of the cute commercials, but just in case, check out this info on how to get your guy into Disney FREE on his birthday.

As a mother of three boys, I am very dismayed to tell you that there are no character meals with the characters from Star Wars or Indiana Jones.  However, he can get tons of great Star Wars action at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  For starters, why not let him have his face painted as his favorite Star Wars Character?  Over at the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy, your son may even be picked to duel with evil forces!  I find that the kids that are picked to participate are usually very energetic and are often dressed in some sort of Star Wars attire.  Of course, Star Tours is an awesome ride that will take you and your son to the Moon of Endor and back.  At the exit to this attraction is, guess what?  A gift shop!  Tatooine Traders carries the coolest Star Wars merchandise and your little man can even create his own light saber.  Across the road from the gift shop, a speeder bike makes for some great pictures!  Also, the characters can often be seen milling around this area.

The Indiana Jones show is awesome!  The cast members even pick random people out of the audience to participate.  Unfortunately, those picked must be adults - why not volunteer???

May the force be with you Shawna!
