Is there a listing of height requirements for rides?

    Hi Shannon!

There are just a few attractions in all four of the theme parks at Walt Disney World that have height restrictions. This is primarily due to the ride vehicle configuration. Faster moving coasters will need more harness or safety seating therefore they more then likely be the attractions with the restrictions.

You can find a list of all Walt Disney World Attractions and under each one you will note if there is a height requirement or not and if so what that minimum height is. Please note that you can go from one attraction to another and if they deem a child is ok at one and not at another it is at the discretion of the cast member in charge. We had this happen and knew not to argue as we understand safety is key and if they didn't feel our grandson was tall enough at the second attraction then so be it.

Other attractions might not have height minimums but might be a little scary for the younger children. Always stop and ask the cast members who are positioned out front to get a full description of what might be happening inside. They will let you know if it is a dark ride meaning if you are in darkness for part or all of the time. Attractions that come to mind for this include Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. They are both great family rides but you will know best what your children can handle.
