I am listed as a silver castaway club member but booking window was 75 days rather than 90 days. Is there a reason it wasn’t 90? Thanks.

Ahoy there, Kyle! Welcome aboard planDisney! While I wish you were alongside under better circumstances, I'm glad you're here! I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues booking during what you thought would be your Silver Castaway Club Member 90-day booking window!

I know one of the best parts of gaining Castaway Club status is the early booking windows - and not just for onboard fun and Port Adventures, but for booking itineraries as well! I've never experienced a mismatch, so we sailed on over to chat with a crew member to see what may have been the issue. According to the crew member we spoke with, there are a few things that would possibly have led to your booking window to not have matched your status.
    • It's important to remember that booking windows opening are dependent upon the receipt of final payment! So while your final payment may not have been due until closer to your sail date (especially recently as temporary final payment policies have been relaxed) if your booking window opened before you'd made that final payment, you would not have been able to book anything until final payment was received.
    • If your final payment had been made, it's possible that your Castaway Club ID number is not properly linked to your reservation! In this case, I would definitely call a crew member to verify, since you definitely want to be sure to get credit for THIS sailing to count toward your total as you build toward Gold Castaway Club status!
In either case, if you're looking to call a Disney Cruise Line crew member, the recent system upgrade has definitely added "patience" to the packing list. Hold times have been a bit overboard recently, but crew members are working hard to get every Guest the answers they need! I've had luck recently calling around 11 a.m. Eastern, after the "early birds" have been helped, but my final suggestion is to get ready to sing along to some hold music, and try to make the best of the wait! Soon, you'll be setting sail across the deep blue sea, relaxing and taking in the warm breeze...ah, that'll be nice!

I'm sorry I couldn't snap my fingers and grant your wish, Kyle, but thank you so much for sailing my way with your question! I hope even with the delayed booking window that you were able to reserve the activities you had been eyeing! If you run into any other rough seas, please make another outing my way - I'd love to help as much as I can.

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
