Welcome to planDisney, Karen! Thanks for sharing your question.
Having visited Walt Disney World with my own 3 kids, as well as some nieces and nephews, I know how important height requirements are for trip planning. It's always better to know which attractions are the right size for your kiddo before you go to avoid any disappointment. And it’s always so much fun to celebrate when they’re finally tall enough to enjoy a long-awaited ride!
The first place I go is the
Attractions and Entertainment page on the Walt Disney World Website. This page shows nearly everything there is to do at Walt Disney World Resort, and right near the top is a button that allows you to filter that list of attractions by height requirement. If you click the “All Filters” button on the right you can also filter the results by age, interest, and ride type.
You can also find this same information on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Select the map feature (the pin icon along the bottom of your screen) and then choose “Attractions.” All the various attraction options will pop up on the map, and the same filters as on the website will appear as well.
As an example, if I were visiting the Magic Kingdom with my youngest kiddo, I could select 42” in the height requirement and “water rides” from the list of interests. I then see that
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is an option, as well as the
Casey Jr. Splash ’N’ Soak Station (which has no height requirement). That sounds like a pretty good way to keep your little one cool on a summer day at the most magical place on Earth!
I hope this information is helpful, Karen. Be sure to check out the pocket guides and videos from planDisney on
YouTube and
Instagram as you plan your trip, and don’t hesitate to come back if any other questions arise.
Magical travels!
Matt
