Hello there, Mariceci, and welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy (or girl!)! It sounds like you're planning one VERY special visit to
Walt Disney World! I see you'll be arriving in just a few days,
and that you're bringing along the teensiest, tiniest Mouseketeer! First of all, congratulations! You're about to enter an incredible new chapter, and there's nowhere better to celebrate than The Most Magical Place on Earth. I am so happy to help with your question, so let's get into it!
Mariceci, one of the things I love most about Disney World is that there is plenty to do for everyone, including pregnant guests. Of course, there are attractions you won't be able to experience this time around (
click here to see a list of attractions with an Expectant Mother Advisory), and it's always best to consult with your doctor.
Still, there is SO much magic to enjoy, even with a baby on board! In fact, some of my very favorite attractions just so happen to be gentle enough for pregnant guests. These include
Living with the Land at EPCOT, as well as
Peter Pan's Flight and the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, which are both located at Magic Kingdom Park. Pro tip? Ride the PeopleMover after sunset for an epic view of Tomorrowland!
Now, navigating the theme parks while pregnant can be a little bit tricky. So be extra careful to stay hydrated, use
Lightning Lane to reduce your wait times, and take lots of breaks as needed! Pop into an air-conditioned show (like the new
Zootopia: Better Zoogether! show at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park), or take advantage of the convenient
Baby Care Centers you'll find at each of the theme parks. Despite the name, they're not just for babies - pregnant guests can use them too!
Finally, let's talk about that gender reveal. This is such an exciting moment for any parent-to-be, so let's sprinkle some pixie dust on this joyful occasion! While Disney World doesn't offer "official" gender reveal experiences, you can still make this moment extra magical. One idea is a
Capture Your Moment photo shoot, which you can book for any of the four theme parks. Or, buy two separate items (like a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plushie) and bring them with you to meet a favorite character. Before your turn arrives, ask a Disney Cast Member to help coordinate your reveal. You'll pose with the appropriate item, and even get
PhotoPass photos to commemorate the big moment!
Parenthood is a beautiful adventure, Mariceci, and so is a trip to Walt Disney World - and I'm wishing you ALL the best as you embark on both. If you have any other planning questions, come back and find us right here at planDisney!
Adventure is out there,
Allison
