Hi Cynthia!
Visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a baby bump? While some would assume an expectant mom wouldn't be able to experience a lot of attractions at the theme parks, you'd be surprised at all the fun things a mom-to-be can do when visiting Walt Disney World. The parks were designed for families, and there are plenty of experiences the whole family can enjoy!
There are over 160 attractions in Walt Disney World's four theme parks and two water parks, and only 31 that currently have an Expectant Mother Advisory:
- Magic Kingdom Park: The Barnstormer, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway
- Epcot: Mission: SPACE, Test Track
- Disney's Hollywood Studios: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash (opening June 30th)
- Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Avatar Flight of Passage, DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Primeval Whirl
- Disney's Typhoon Lagoon: Crush 'n' Gusher, Gangplank Falls, Humunga Kowabunga, Keelhaul Falls, Mayday Falls, Storm Slides
- Disney's Blizzard Beach: Downhill Double Dipper, Runoff Rapids, Slush Gusher, Snow Stormers, Summit Plummet, Teamboat Springs, Toboggan Racers
The Walt Disney World website advises expectant mothers to always check signage posted at each attraction, which will include any pertinent health and safety advisories, before participating.
With all the live entertainment offerings, including parades, stage shows, Character Greetings, and nighttime spectaculars, expectant moms can have very full, fun days when visiting Walt Disney World!
I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
