Hi Marissa,
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending in your question! With each passing day, and each payment you make, you’re getting that much closer to your dream visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! As someone who loves to plan a budget-friendly Disney vacation, I completely relate to the satisfaction of paying off my vacation over time. One of my favorite things about booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is how flexible the payment system is. After the initial deposit, you're free to make payments in the amounts and at the pace that works best for you, as long as everything is squared away at least 30 days before check-in. It’s a great way to step into your vacation fully present, knowing there’s no hefty credit card bill waiting for you when you get home.
To view the payments you’ve already made and check on your remaining balance, you’ll want to log in to your
MyDisney account on the Walt Disney World website. Once you’re signed in, hover over the “My Disney Experience” tab and select “My Plans.” Scroll down to your reservation details, and if it’s a vacation package booked directly with Disney, you should see a link that says “Make a Payment.” Click that link, and you’ll be able to view your payment history and current balance. If you don’t see that option, or if your reservation was booked through a travel agent, I recommend reaching out to Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for help reviewing your payment records.
Since it sounds like you might be a savvy planner like me, I’d love to share a few extra ways to stretch those Disney dollars just a bit further. One trick I often use is keeping an eye out at local warehouse stores for discounted Disney gift cards. Even a small discount adds up, saving just twenty or thirty dollars might cover a delicious snack or a Resort Refillable Mug. Stack a few of those gift cards together, and suddenly that relaxing
sit-down dinner feels like it’s on the... mouse!
Speaking of refills, I never leave home without budgeting for a refillable popcorn bucket. It’s a great value. Once you’ve made the initial purchase, you can refill it throughout your stay at a lower price. It’s a fun and tasty snack to enjoy while strolling through the parks or waiting for a parade to roll by. Another budget-conscious move I recommend is ordering a few breakfast items or snacks to your Disney Resort hotel. It’s a great way to save on meals, especially in the morning when you’re trying to get out the door for rope drop. That said, be sure to leave room to treat yourself to a few Mickey-shaped waffles since they’re practically a rite of passage!
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, Marissa. If you have any more questions or need help fine-tuning your plans,
don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to share more tips to help make your upcoming vacation unforgettable.
Cheers!
Brent
