Hi Ken!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you stopped by with your planning question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! I can bet you are excited about the adventures that await you both onboard and at the ports of call you visit, and you have every reason to be!
Depending on which itinerary you are going on, your packing essentials may vary a bit (Alaska vs Caribbean…. December vs June, etc.), but for the most part, you’ll want to reference this
packing list. A few things that I have found to be incredibly helpful that aren’t necessarily on the list include a portable sound machine, clothespins (you’ll be shocked at how handy these can be – from closing curtains, to hanging up wet bathing suits and much more) and Ziploc bags and some garbage bags (we use the larger ones after spending the day at the beach and don’t want sand covering everything in our luggage!). If you are a first-time cruiser, I also recommend bringing onboard lanyards to hold your Key to the World card which acts as your stateroom door key, is used for onboard purchases and is also needed anytime you disembark the ship at port. If you plan on bringing onboard any water or
alcohol, please know that it must be in your carry-on luggage and not in your checked luggage, along with any medication. You may also want to throw in your swimsuits so that you can head straight to the
onboard pools after embarkation!
As you continue planning and preparing for your adventure with Captain Mickey, please come back with any other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
