Hi there, Cecil, and welcome to planDisney!
The countdown to your next Disney vacation is officially on. If you’re wondering when you can use your
Walt Disney World annual pass as a key to the kingdom, Hakuna Matata! (That means “no worries.”) I’ll give you the lowdown about how to find blockout dates for the Disney Parks.
Keep in mind that every annual pass type has a different set of blockout dates. For example, the Disney Pixie Dust Pass blocks out all weekends and some occasional weekdays. On the flip side, the Disney Incredi-Pass has no blockout dates at all!
The easiest way to check out what your annual pass’s blockout dates are is to take a look at the
Annual Passholder Admission Calendar. On that webpage, you can filter by annual pass type and theme park.
AN EXTRA GEM: On days that you have the green light to visit the theme parks, you don’t always need a theme park reservation. If you’re entering the theme parks after 2 p.m. (except Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends), you don’t need a theme park reservation. Woohoo! There are also new “Reservation Not Required”/“Good-To-Go” days in which you also are free to go to the theme parks without a reservation (even starting in the morning).
Here’s even more good news, Cecil. If you have a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass with a Water Parks and Sports Option, your theme park blockout dates do not apply to the water parks at all. So, feel free to enjoy the operating water park, like
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, whenever your heart desires.
Cecil, I hope that this helps you with your planning. If you happen to have more questions about your upcoming adventure,
revisit us here at planDisney. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
