Hi there, Michae!
I'm so glad you reached out to planDisney with your question. Planning your first Disney Cruise is incredibly exciting! I just know you are going to have the most magical time at sea.
You can visit Disney Cruise Line's
Packing List page to see suggested items for your itinerary. It definitely varies depending on where you are sailing! For example, an Alaskan cruise calls for different gear than a sunny escape to The Bahamas! I'll admit that I'm an over-packer, partially because I like having options. I'm often in a bathing suit or casual clothes during the day, but I enjoy dressing up a bit for dinner each night. No matter where I'm headed, a few items always make it into my suitcase:
- Passport
- Refillable water bottle
- Pirate Night outfit
- Laundry bag
- Sunscreen, including scalp sunscreen
- Hanging fabric organizer for surprise gifts from fellow Guests (so fun!)
- Water shoes
- Travel-size stain remover pen
- Anti-nausea medication (just in case!)
- Beach bag
- Goggles
My full list is definitely longer, but these are some of the easy-to-forget essentials. The most important item for me is always my passport! I also like to pack a few factory‑sealed, nonperishable snacks for my kids. Even though there’s plenty of delicious food onboard (including ice cream!), sometimes a familiar snack hits the spot. I suggest checking out the Prohibited and Restricted Items list to see what isn't allowed onboard a Disney Cruise.
Before you sail, I recommend browsing the available Port Adventures for your itinerary. While offerings can change, it’s a great way to get a sense of what might be available to book once your reservation window opens.
Michae, I hope this information helps you create your cruise packing list. Do not hesitate to contact planDisney again if you have additional questions.
Happy sailing!
Jen
