Oh, bother! I've been in your shoes—I accidentally assigned a new
MagicBand+ to the wrong person in my family. Thankfully, a helpful Cast Member helped me rectify my mistake. As long as the MagicBand+ is unused, fixing this problem should be as simple as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.
To reassign an unused MagicBand+, contact Disney using the chat feature on the
Walt Disney World Resort website. How do you do that? Simply visit the website and wait for the chat feature to pop up (this might take a few minutes, depending on availability). If this feature isn't appearing, here's a tip: Visit the "Places to Stay" page, and it should appear with a picture of Jiminy Cricket.
You can then chat with a Cast Member and explain the situation. They'll likely ask you to fill out an online form in order for them to get access to your
My Disney Experience account. Whoever you'd like to reassign the MagicBand+ to will need to be linked to your
Family & Friends list. Once you do that, the Cast Member should be able to reassign the MagicBand+. Ka-chow!
