Hello, Lisa, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your great question about theme park tickets. It must mean you've got a very special visit to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up! I'm so excited for you!
While Guests could show a picture of the ticket barcode or reservation QR code on their phone for entry into a Disneyland park, I would only recommend a screenshot to be used as a backup option. A Cast Member I spoke to confirmed that Guests could try using a screenshot as an option for park entry, but it is best to have park tickets on the Disneyland app and not a screenshot.
Downloading the
Disneyland app is one of my top planning tips for any Guest visiting the Disneyland Resort and I would highly recommend the other members in your party download it, if they have a smartphone. Not only will the Disneyland app allow them to enter the parks easily with their park tickets, but they will be able to explore park maps, make food mobile orders, check wait times, find their favorite Disney pal, and utilize the skip-the-line service with Lightning Lanes. The Disneyland app is an absolute must for me!
Or, if the Disneyland app is still not an option, the other Guests in your party may also consider printing out their ticket bar code to have on hand, which would give you peace of mind!
Lastly, another option for entry into the park without using the Disneyland app is to
link a MagicBand+ to your Disney account and then use the MagicBand+ to scan your park entry. This is the most convenient option, even if you have the Disneyland app! I love my MagicBand+.
I hope I was able to answer your question, Lisa, and you and your party have what you need to begin your Disneyland visit! If you have any additional questions that come up in your planning, please don't hesitate to
ask me another question! I'd be happy to help! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find the best seasonal treats or some strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities.
See you real soon!
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
