Hi Brandy, welcome to planDisney!
I'm so sorry you're no longer able to use your ticket to Walt Disney World Resort. Instead of letting Sadness take over, though, you've turned the situation
Inside Out as I know the recipient of your ticket will be filled with Joy.
Wholly unused tickets can be reassigned to a member of your Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. I understand the person you're assigning the ticket to is not currently on your Family & Friends List. To add them, click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your
Family & Friends List. Next, click "I'll enter their name and age." As soon as you enter the age of "18+", an additional option appears and you should select "Invite this Guest to connect." Enter the email address connected with the recipient's My Disney Experience account and click "Done." Once the recipient accepts the email invitation to connect, you can select their name from the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu on the
Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker tab of your My Disney Experience account.
If you are not planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort with the ticket recipient anytime soon, Brandy, you can remove them from your Family & Friends List as soon as the ticket has been reassigned (
Update --> Remove from this List). That's what I did recently when I reassigned an unused ticket to one of my planDisney panelist pals.
The magic of Disney has no expiration date, Brandy. When the time is right, dream big and start planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Hope to
see you then!
Plan magic; planDisney.
