I linked a ticket under my account but I meant to send it to my family member. Is there a way I can transfer a ticket to a different account?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Raquel. We're so glad you're here and brought this question to us. It sounds like a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your future and I am so excited for you.

Hakuna matata, Raquel! It means no worries and there's definitely no need to worry about getting this ticket to your family member. You can easily have your family member link the ticket under their own account by taking these easy steps. In the Disneyland app, tap on the "☰" icon in the lower right of the screen to open the menu. Next, tap the "Tickets and Passes" tile followed by the "+" in the upper right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." You can share the ticket ID number below the barcode of the ticket in your Disneyland app or in your purchase confirmation email. Have your family member manually type in the ID number to add the ticket. Or, you can use the "Camera" feature and have them scan the ticket barcode. That's all there is to it.

You will want to be careful when you have your tickets scanned to enter the parks to ensure everyone is using the correct ticket. Upon entering, the Cast Member will take each person's picture which will be linked to their ticket and serve as identification for the duration of your visit.

I have even more great news. Because you added (linked) your family member's ticket to your account, it will make for a smoother process if you plan on joining any virtual queues or using Disney Genie+ Service for the day. As Aladdin says, you're "one hop ahead of the hump." You will be able to make any Lightning Lane selections for any linked tickets as well as create a party when trying to join a virtual queue.

Speaking of virtual queues, if you are visiting before the end of August, I highly recommend trying to join the virtual queue to see Rogers: The Musical at Disney California Adventure Park. I had a chance to see this show recently and absolutely loved it - it's MARVEL-ous and a must-see. Another great use of the virtual queue is to gain access to the reserved viewing area for World of Color - ONE. Just be sure to check the Disneyland app for showtimes during your visit.

Well, Raquel, I hope this puts your mind at ease and gives you the information you need for your upcoming visit. Come back to visit us with any other questions. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
