Dan from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have linked my son and his girlfriends ticket to my account. But they will be entering park before I arrive. Do I need to unlink them from my account? And if so how? And how do they link tix to their phone so they can enter without me?

Hi there, Dan! Welcome to planDisney. Happy to help walk you through some of these pixie-dusted logistics so you and your family are all set to hit the parks in July!

First and foremost, you're already a step ahead in your park planning by having their tickets linked to your account! I would keep them linked so that when you are all enjoying the parks together you can make Lightning Lane selections as a group if you have added Genie+ to your day. The magic carpets fly a lot more smoothly this way!

If both your son and his girlfriend have their own Disneyland accounts, they will easily be able to link their tickets to their own accounts with a few taps of a magic wand. Likewise, if they are planning to spend their days together, they could link both tickets to just one account if that's easier for them. Have them open up their Disneyland Mobile Apps and tap the three bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. From there, select "Tickets and Passes" and then tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner on the next screen. A drop-down menu will appear and you can select "Link Tickets & Passes". Here, you can either scan the ticket barcode directly from your phone to theirs OR you can send them their ticket confirmation numbers in advance and they can do it themselves on their end. The ticket confirmation numbers should appear under the barcodes on your phone or within the ticket confirmation email you received at the time of purchase.

I hope you're still with me, Dan, because we have a few more stops on our magic carpet now that we've settled your tickets! Dining reservations open up 60 days out, so you are in your window to start putting some delicious meals on your calendar. When you're in Disney California Adventure Park, a great option is Pixar fan-favorite Lamplight Lounge with its beautiful views of Paradise Gardens Park. If you're in the mood for some Hollywood glamour, try Carthay Circle - Alfresco Dining! Reservations are usually easy to come by, and I love the outdoor setting right on Buena Vista Street. You may even see a favorite character or two walk by! Over at Disneyland Park, Carnation Cafe is my go-to for its charm. Nestled right off of Main Street, U.S.A., you can watch your fellow Guests stroll towards Sleeping Beauty Castle while eating Walt's Chili off the menu! Where else can you do that?!

Dan, our magic carpet is coming in for a landing. The Genie has tapped in to tell me that he can see some magical memory making ahead for you and your family! It looks like you will be in the parks the week of Disneyland's 67th anniversary, which is officially July 17th! While there haven't been any celebratory announcements, just keep your ears peeled in case any pixie dust flies your way that week. If you need anything else, we are always here for you at planDisney

    See ya real soon!
