Welcome to planDisney, Kayla! Your Magical vacation is "
just around the river bend," how exciting!
I'll also be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon and I can't wait to see Cinderella Castle all dressed up to commemorate the 50th anniversary! Now, Kayla, let's talk about your tickets.
When you purchased your tickets, you should have seen a confirmation page or received an email confirmation. On this page there is a ticket order number, likely below the barcode. That is the number that you can
link to your My Disney Experience account. Kayla, once your tickets are successfully linked for everyone in your traveling party the very first thing you need to do is make your Disney Park Pass reservations. In order to manage park capacity all guests must have a (complimentary) theme park reservation in ADDITION to their valid theme park ticket to gain entry. You can learn more about the Disney Park Pass system
HERE and check availability for each park
HERE.
Now, once your tickets are linked and your Disney Park Pass reservations are secure, you're almost ready for the Magic to begin! Since you also asked about fastpasses and lightning lane, let's talk about those systems. The Fastpass+ system has been retired and
the new Disney Genie system has been announced. In addition to the Disney Genie, guests can pay to upgrade to Disney Genie+ that offers quick attraction entry through the lightning lanes for select attractions. Kayla, at this time,
Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ are not yet available for guests but hopefully we will see the release of these options soon. I encourage you to bookmark the Disney Parks Blog and follow @planDisneypanel on Instagram to be among the first to hEAR when Disney Genie is released.
Kayla, I hope this information is helpful as you're looking ahead to your upcoming vacation. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions.
Wishing you a pixie dusted visit.
Lauren
