If I link my tickets credit card etc to my magic mobile will it still be linked to my magic band too in case I decide to wear that or my phone dies

Hiya Michele - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

I'm thrilled to hEAR that you have an upcoming trip planned - you're in for a ton of new and exciting things to experience! The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing with exciting new attractions, experiences, entertainment, food, and so much more!

Disney's new Magic Mobile service is, well, magic! It can turn your compatible smartphone into a magic wand allowing you to access the Theme Parks with valid admission and Park Pass Reservation, link PhotoPass photos, redeem Lightning Lane purchases at attractions, and so much more. On my recent trips, I've been using Magic Mobile quite a bit - almost exclusively, actually. That being said, I still like to have my MagicBand with me just in case my phone runs out of battery, or I just don't feel like pulling it out of my pocket.

The good news is that your Theme Park Tickets and Reservations and Resort Reservation should still remain linked to your MagicBand through your My Disney Experience Account, so you should be able to use both! Like any new technology, there are sometimes hiccups along the way, so if you run into any trouble whatsoever, just seek out a Guest Experience Team Cast Member, or head to Guest Relations within any Theme Park for assistance.

Before I forget, I wanted to share one other reason why I still like to wear a MagicBand for my entire trip. One thing you can't do through Magic Mobile is unlock your Resort Guest Room door. You can use your compatible smartphone to unlock your door using the My Disney Experience Mobile App, but that takes a few steps and I really enjoy just being able to easily use my MagicBand. So, for me, I view them as complementary services and love to use both!

I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning for your trip coming up next month. Please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions for you!
