How do I link a ticket to a magic band for each of my family members in one account? I have a small child who can not have her own account who will be using a magic band as well.

Hiya, Jackie! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought a great question to us here at planDisney and I'm happy to get you an answer.

I love having the added convenience of a MagicBand+ for my Disneyland visits. There are different ways families utilize Disney accounts among family members, but for my family, I find it easiest that we all just share the same account. Whether you decide to have your family members share an account or create separate ones, the process is still the same. First, you will need to download the Disneyland app and make sure your tickets are linked to the "Tickets and Passes" section. Next, tap on "Magic Band+" which you can access from the menu at the bottom right hand by tapping the three horizontal lines. You will want to link each MagicBand+ by tapping the "+" and following the prompts. Once you have them linked, you will then be able to tap on each MagicBand+ to assign a ticket from one of the tickets linked to your app.

Be sure to look out for certain Disney100 statues and medallions located throughout the resort. There are also a few attractions that your MagicBand+ may react to. Be sure to download the Play Disney Parks app as well in case you have anyone in your party who may want to do some Bounty Hunting in Batuu!

Jackie, thanks so much for stopping by. We hope you have a wonderful time on your next visit!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
